Do you want to go for a skateboard dew tour. We are going to learn how to do the fake backside big spin. For this trick, you can learn the backside half cab if you want to it’s not necessary but it is an easy trick I’m sure you will have lots of fun with it. You definitely need the fakie shove it because the combination of those two you are going to have your fakie backside big spin. The foot position for this trick remember we are rolling in fakie so the back foot is just under the bolts with a slight angle and the front foot is on the tail kind a hanging of at the end so this will make it easier to scoop your board or pop it. The whole movement starts with turning your shoulders and your head and when you scoop your board try to catch it with your front foot and stop the rotation.

If you practice this in stationary you will have and understanding where is your board so it will be easier to land the trick while you are rolling. Then you just have to practice while you are rolling and don’t worry if it’s not perfect all the time and you didn’t pop a massive fakie shove it because the more you practice it, you will land it more often and you can pop your shove it higher and higher. So you can see here in the slow motion for this trick is pretty much the same as the shove it you just have to turn your head and shoulders with it and catch it with your front foot to stop the rotation as you would do with a shove it in general.

We are going to learn how to front side shove-it Hopefully, are comfortable rolling around and that’s all you need to start with this trick we are not going to pop the board so you don’t have to worry about that. I recorded this first-person view to help someone to understand this trick better and have a different point of view. So before you start to jump into any trick it’s always good to just roll around and start to warm up a bit just pushing around doing manual or a couple backside shove it, whatever it feels good for you. So the foot position for this trick my front foot is on the bolts maybe slightly behind it and my back foot is on the tail a bit more in the heel side pocket.

So that can help you a bit push the board in front of you and complete the front side 180 with the board. For this trick, you only use your back foot so basically, you push your tail with your back foot in front of you don’t push it down or try to pop because there will be another trick similar to this that is called the front side pop shove-it. So your front foot is there only to catch the board and stop the board from over rotating make sure you always look down and wait for your board then when it turns stop the rotation and if it wasn’t perfect don’t stress about it just balance it out obviously is not going to be perfect all the time so just relax and roll with it and yeah that’s about it you learned how to do a front side shove-it.

We are going to learn how to fakie ollie over the hip. Hopefully, you are comfortable rolling around and you are really good with your fake ollie on the flat so that’s pretty much the key for this trick and to learn how to fakie ollie over the hip. Fakie is riding backwards with the tail facing in the direction of travel. So the foot position for this trick is just like your ollie position your dominant foot on the bolts and your front foot in this case because we are rolling backwards on the tail. You need to approach the hip with just enough speed so you are able to roll over the hip. Next step is when you almost reached the middle of the hip, pop your board and slide your back foot up and level out your board. When you try it the first time you don’t have to pop too hard, just focus on popping your board and slide up your back foot to pull it up and level your board. Look where going and spot your landing, try to land on all four wheels and roll away. Don’t lean forward because you will stop your fakie ollie straight away and fall and the same and don’t lean back either because you might slip out. Might be a bit awkward in the beginning because you are rolling backwards but that feeling will go away with practice and you will be able to pop higher and higher. So make sure you practice your fakie ollies over the hip.
